Raw Material
The Trays are crafted from sustainable beech ply by a small team of carpenters in North Yorkshire. Each one is handmade to order and individually hand painted or decoupaged.
The Boxes are crafted from MDF by a Yorkshire based adult mental health charity, whose aim is to help their community by providing practical employment solutions.
Style
There are two styles of tray to choose from, the Butler and the Georgian:
Butler
55 x 41cm with sloping sides and raised handles
Georgian
55 x 41cm, sloping sides and flat handles
Colour
The standard colour is Farrow & Ball Black-Blue for the Wedding Invitation Trays, but we can also make both the Hand Painted Trays and the Hand Painted Boxes in Farrow & Ball Oval Room Blue, Farrow & Ball Green Smoke, or Farrow & Ball Charlotte’s Locks.

Design
The complexity of the design is divided into two categories, Standard and Complex for both the Hand Painted Trays and the Hand Painted Boxes.
Standard includes most painted designs, for example flower wreaths, multiple drawings, animals, houses, repeat patterns, etc.
Complex includes very intricate designs, for example family crests, military insignia or designs that cover the whole base of the tray.
Please do get in touch if you are unsure of the complexity of your design prior to ordering. If it is a particularly simple design such as a line drawing, a slightly reduced cost can be discussed.
Hand painted lettering (up to two lines) is free of charge!

Lead Time
Please allow 28 days for completion, although shorter lead times can be discussed if urgent.
